Alpha Kappa Alpha and WBENC Partner to Empower Aspiring Entrepreneurs at Four HBCUs
2026 WBENC Entrepreneur Incubator Will Offer Business Training, Mentorship and Seed Grant Opportunities to Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Chicago, IL - Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is supporting the next generation of business leaders through its program partnership with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), which is accepting applications for the 2026 WBENC Entrepreneur Incubator at four historically Black colleges and universities.
The premier program is designed to strengthen the mindset, leadership competencies, and business ideas of aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs. Participants will receive business training, one-on-one mentoring, and networking opportunities, culminating in a pitch competition offering seed grant awards.
The incubator is open to eligible students and recent graduates of:
Florida A&M University
North Carolina A&T State University
North Carolina Central University

The program is open to entrepreneurs of any gender who are currently enrolled at one of the participating institutions or graduated within the past 12 months. Applicants must have a business idea or an early-stage venture launched within the past 18 months. Previous WBENC Entrepreneur Incubator participants are not eligible to apply.
Alpha Kappa Alpha members, campus leaders, and community partners are encouraged to share this opportunity with eligible students and recent graduates who are ready to transform bold ideas into thriving businesses.
